General comments

Altijd rekening houden met het resultaat van eerder afgenomen kweken en recent antibiotica gebruik. Bij kolonisatie met ceftazidime resistente bacteriën start met alternatieve empirische therapie (bv. meropenem).

Oncologische patiënten in principe ceftazidim monotherapie, indicaties vancomycine volgens SKION supportive care richtlijn:

- HD-Ara-C (high dose cytarabine) kuur
- ernstige mucositis
- klinische verdenking lijninfectie
- hemodynamische instabiliteit
- ernstig ziek zijn



Bij kolonisatie met ceftazidim-resistente-gram-negatieve beacteriën wordt op geleide van het resistentiepatroon andere antibiotica geadviseerd (zoals bijvoorbeeld meropenem).
